BASI[X] (pronounced bei.siks) collection focuses on everyday essentials and accessories.

As with Code of Bell’s bags, this collection is an exploration to take ordinary objects and/or style, and to infuse Code of Bell’s design concept for an elevated aesthetic, functionality, and user experience.

While the VAPOR HAT retains a familiar baseball hat silhouette, it is a completely new and original design like no other. A multi-panel construction allows heat and moisture to escape for comfort, while providing protection from the elements.

Similar to Code of Bell’s CAMPER HAT, it is built using ECOPAK fabric, which features a similar diamond-shaped pattern like the X-Pac. However, it is the worlds only durable and waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fiber and film. A PFC-free (C0) DWR coating is used, making it more environmentally friendly than traditional water-repellent coatings. ECOPAK fabric lasts longer, absorbs 80% less moisture, and has better UV resistance and color retention than traditional laminated nylon.

To enhance this, Code of Bell added laser-cut slits and vents to allow heat and moisture to escape, while still providing protection against the elements. A mesh panel is also added in the inner forehead to create spacing for better air circulation.

Furthermore, an easy-to-use sliding + self-lock rear size adjuster replaces traditional ones, allowing for the perfect fit. No need to snap one hole at a time. The front visor is perforated to reduce weight while retaining its shape.

For peace of mind, the rear loop is made of reflective material, and a soft, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial headband is used inside for added comfort.
